Suggestion: Caster Wands

Why?
Leveling as a pure caster in just about any TRPG kinda sucks:

- Mana regeneration relies on either meditating or potions. Meditating is fine out of combat, but potions are hella heavy.
- You can damage yourself with your own spells
- Higher-tier spells climb rapidly in cast time and recovery time, which extra-hurts when…
- …monsters can resist your spells at random

Offensive Wands
Except for the Mana Stone (and the Shove Wand, kind of), actual caster weapons don't exist. I propose a line of wands for each school of magic with various effects that grow stronger as the tiers advance:

- Increased cast speed percentage
- Substantial reduced recovery time, perhaps up to half
- Increased damage
- Reduced chance for the enemy to resist
- Percent change to eliminate recovery time entirely
- Allows spells to crit

Using Fire Magic as an example:

Category: Caster Weapon
Restrictions: Fire Magic: 10
Bonuses: +2 Fire Magic damage*
Weight: 3
Price: $150

"Smells like smoke."

*Flat value at this tier because a percentage isn't going to have any discernible effect
And then at the next tier:

Smoldering Wand

Skill Type: Fire Magic
Category: Caster Weapon
Restrictions: Fire Magic: 60
Bonuses: +10% Fire Magic damage, +10% cast speed
Weight: 3
Price: $4000

"It should burn your hand, but it doesn't."
And so on.

Divine Wands
Intended for Divine Magic and improving healing mechanics or functionality. Possible bonuses:

- Increased healing amount
- For Clerics, increased damage when using heals on undead
- For Paladins, ability to damage demons using heals
- Substantially reduced recovery time, perhaps up to half
- Casting a heal on yourself also affects nearby allies (like Bless) or everyone in your party
- Grants all heals a short lived (10~ second) buff to DEF and MDEF
- Turns one-time heals into heals over time

*Flat values again because of the numbers at this level

Suggestion ability to block weapons and items not wanted. Sling, damaged crap, etc.
